What a fantastic year full of God’s blessings. We’ve been given the privilege of another year of bringing improvement to the lives of the Honduran people.
In March, we had 12 members from Family Praise Center in Vinita, OK, and our son Jason and granddaughter Alyssa join us for an evangelism trip. We had church services and participated in street ministry and school assemblies. We also partnered with Salt and Light ministries to begin drilling the water well for the ministry house.
April brought the hacking of Jeff’s personal Facebook page, which required that the Family Builder group be set to private, which decreased our reach somewhat as others could no longer share posts from the group. We were pleased to host Liberty Church of Cleveland, TX, for a discovery trip to locate a family needing a home.
In May, we met with the mayor of Las Vegas Municipality, who was aware of our work and excited to work with us in the future.
The summer months were full of activity in Honduras, with two homes built for families in need, one in El Sauce and the other in Nuevo Esperanza, and a cabin at Kids Ark International with the help of Tim and Angel Hoodenpyle, Lifepointe Church, Glow International Organization, Family Praise Center, Liberty Church Cleveland, and many others.
This fall completed the water well filtration system for the ministry house! (Praise God for not having to brush our teeth with bottled water! Amen?) We attended our first-ever community chicken house dedication. The chicken house will ensure a vital source of protein is provided to the community.
December brought the annual Tamale Christmas! The tamales were hot and delicious, but the highlight was the time spent serving the community and showing them God’s love through service. We were also privileged to aid in the delivery of new bicycles to kids in the orphanage.
Family Builder’s International is making a marked influence on the community of Pena Blanca, and that wouldn’t be possible without everyone that contributes to our mission, whether through monthly contributions, donations, or even using Amazon Smile. We, as an organization, are privileged that we have been entrusted to carry out this work. We look forward to 2023 as we have plans to build a house in January and another for a family of 13 later in the year.
Merry Christmas!
